Holy Crap... I think I might get sick

Listen, with the new year coming like, tomorrow, I have been feeling quite... reminiscent. So I decided to do my "lets get the boys half year pics from Sept and compare them with the half year pics from last year".

Now... We can see everyday in Gavin what a big boy he is getting to be.. but D has always been my baby... like Peter Pan and never to grow up... I have been preparing myself that once the baby gets here that he is going to seem so big and I have been trying to prepare my mind for that.

I didn't expect this...

Photo Monsters Monday 1

I am starting a new series on Mondays...

PHOTO MONSTERS MONDAY

Theme: Pictures the little monsters (aka kids) take with their hammydown camera throughout the week prior...

I will pick out the top 10 of the 50 the memory card will hold. I can't promise anything on content, but I am sure some will be interesting... excuse it ahead of time for the nose picking and crotch grabbing.

Here is your first installment.

Update on D's potty business... and I saved us some big time money

So, it is Day 5 of potty training and I am so very proud of my little man.

By day 3 he was already going to the potty with assistance or a need to tell me to rush him to the potty... he just went on his own.

He has been waking up and going to the potty first thing.

He has basically been taking control of his own potty business and he is doing great!!! I am so proud of him... and Day 4 was the first day WITHOUT A SINGLE ACCIDENT!!!

He has been waking from his naps dry and allowing the urge to wake him and make it to the potty without making a mess.

1 downfall: He has been fighting me tooth and nail to NOT wear a diaper during his naps and at night night.
I don't know when I will have the guts to try this out... maybe a week without incident...

Oh... and the money business...
So we were going to have to buy a new car to fit #3... why? G will be in a booster by 4.. that should allow for enough room in the backseat for a baby seat, right??

Well, have you ever tried to find a no-back booster for a child that is only 30 lbs at 4 years old??

Its harder than you think.

Most of the no-back boosters you see are 40lb to 100lb.

The way it is looking.. Gav will be 7 by the time he hits 40 lbs.

ANYWAY!!!

I found one that was rated for a 30lb child!!!!
$18 at Target. This is the first time I have ever seen it!!! And I totally bought it!!!

So for $18 I saved us another car!!!

Potty Training D day 1

Well, I decided that I want a few months where I am not changing diapers before the baby gets here... so I have been really paying attention to D and his habits... he has been waking up from naps dry and is not too wet at night night.... So I started today to get him working on the potty...

We didn't get to start until about 9:30 and we put a diaper on for his nap at 1:00 and during that time, we only had 1 pee pee accident out of 4 chances and 0 poop accidents out of 1 chance!!!

He woke up from his nap at 4:00 and immediately peed...
and out of another 4 chances of peeing... AND going to a restaurant, NO more accidents!!!

Day #1, I think that is a pretty great potty training day!!!

Ran.dom.

So...

I went to Ka-Ka, Nana, Tracy, and Jenny to watch New Moon on Friday at 10am. I loved it! It rocked! Of course, I am prolly considered a Twihard, so I guess it doesn't count what I think. I do think it is better made than Twilight.. I will say that. And I think they set it up great for people to want to rush to see Eclipse... which comes out June 10th.... yes, it is already on my calendar.

D is sooo not wanting to potty train. He goes to the potty and actually does something once in a blue moon. I know he has to be ready, because he is waking from 3 hour naps dry. The boy just doesn't care about being wet or dirty... but he is HATING diaper changes... so I guess that is something in our favor.

G has cut out his naps. *sigh* Enough said, right.

The docs and nurses keep asking if I am feeling any flutters or movement at all.. NOPERS... I was starting to worry, especially since I saw in the last ultrasound how much that little man moves... then I saw the ultrasound tech type in "placenta-anterior"...
I guess little bit will spend this pregnancy kicking his nutrients rather than me.

I have started the process of going through all the baby stuff we have... You would think with as organized as I am, I would have sold things more consistently... why do I have 3 changing pad covers.. but no changing pad?? Very weird.

Half my Christmas cards have gone out.. half have not and you have NO idea how much that bugs me. But at least I am almost done with the shopping and wrapping!!

Impromptu Ultrasound

I had a 15 week, 1 day impromptu ultrasound today to check on the blood clot issue I had a couple of weeks ago.

No more clot to report!!!
No more pelvic rest!!!

And we DID find out the sex.

What the ultrasound tech said to convince me??
"That looks like a big ding-a-ling to me.. doesn't it you?"

Yeppers...

Our 3rd little boy is on his way.

Now for your job...
find a name with these specifications that is cute and will fit in well with Gavin and Dylan.

1) Musical relation (i.e. GAVIN Rossdale, Bob DYLAN)
2) 5 letters long
3) ends in an 'n'
4) 2 syllables

NOW... GO!!!!

Stand by me

Many of us have seen the movie... and many of us to come up with 1 scene that was memorable...

BARF-O-RAMA

Of course, it sticks with you all day when it occurs in your own kitchen at 7am.

Are you kidding me?

THIS..
is crazy.

NO... not the horrible decision that these young parents had to make... even though, that, without question, SUCKED...

After the article... read the comments summited... I will wait.

NOW... just the first several got to me.
Are so many people without God in their life?
Do people really use the tragedy of an infant to justify their ideas that God doesn't exist?

Anyone who knows me, knows I am not what some call a "Bible beater"... that I am not... but this blows me away.

When the death of two of my very beautiful and cherished infants came to pass, I prayed to that same God that so many question and thanked him for allowing me the moments I had with them. I thanked him for allowing me to be their mother and even though I can never understand why they were taken so young, I am completely comfortable in stating two simple facts: 1) it is not something for me to understand, and 2) God knows when everyone's time is up and theirs were after accomplishing on earth what they were sent here to accomplish and everyone should be so lucky.

House Update finale

I have gotten several request on final pics of the house.... I took pics and just uploaded.. there were 51 so I am just going to put some... not all... put I will try to do the best I can of showing you everything...
First.. the final look at the house. You can't see them, but I have 3 blueberry and 3 raspberry bushes in the front flower beds. The grass, as shot up, it was seeded with fescue and strawed and has exploded.

One last shot from the very back of the property looking at the back of the house.

When you walk in the front door, you come straight into the Gathering Room. It was originally going to be the main living room, but we have found we spend very little time here... Only when we have company and want peace and quiet to talk...

You can go a couple of places from here. You can go to the half bath located off the room... you can go left and delve directly into the Master bedroom, or you can go to one of the two entrances into the kitchen.

Lets go through the Master bedroom first... this starts a whole new maze. You walk through the Master bedroom into the Master bath, which leads you into the private office and walk in closet AND the private covered patio off the office.

Ok... lets go back out to the Gathering Room.
You can go into the kitchen on either side of those two columns you previously saw.... either way, you are still in the kitchen.

You can see that those columns you saw on the living room side, are actually double pantries on the kitchen side. The Island contains the dishwasher and sink.

Now, where to go from here?
You can go to the deck...

Or to the laundry/Mud Room.... which leads to the garage OR the deck...

Ok... we will go up the stairs...

Now, right now we are officially in the family room, but the best picture comes from the top of the stairs that lead FROM the family room to the upstairs bedrooms...

Now turn around and look in the family room... where we spend 90% of our time.

Ok.. lets turn on our heal and head down a long hallway.. first door is nursery...
not showing pic because it is basically a storage area right now.. then the 2nd door is a door in the bathroom... yes, A door.. the boys bathroom has 3 doors... 1 door to nursery, 1 door to their room and 1 door leading to the hallway... so the 3rd door down the hallway is the boys room.. which is just left of the guest room (Jenny was presently sleeping there when I was taking pics).. you will notice I didn't mention the lone door on the right side of the hallway,.. that is the door to the attic.. with a keyed deadbolt might I add.

So that is it... thats the house.
One last thing.. some of my favorite things in the house...

I am losing it.. hahaha

ok.. So I haven't posted because I didn't have the pictures uploaded from my camera because I have lost my cord that attaches the camera to the computer... then today, after weeks, I realized... "maybe the I put a memory card in the camera"....

the pictures and videos were uploaded within minutes.

I am an idiot or losing it.

So what has been going on??

1) We moved in the house!!!! We are so excited and have stayed so busy with it and so absolutely happy with it!! I will take pictures now that I know they can be uploaded!

2) HALLOWEEN!!!

3) The pregnancy... well, if you know me well enough, you know things can't be just normal. Last week I started getting a lot of pain then a couple of days after the pain started, I started spotting. That of course scared the crap out of us, so I hit the ER... after an ultrasound, which by the way the baby looked very happy, it was discovered I had a subchorionic hematoma that was trying to bleed itself out. After clots and some more blood, it looks like it all has stopped. I talked to my doc and since I already had an appointment set for the 18th, we are just going to keep that and maybe add an ultrasound (which I am pretty much going to insist on) to see if the clot/hematoma is gone.

4) Oh.. and as I am trying to take the meds and rest like the doc said... a cold has seemed to have settled into my chest and sinuses. THANK GOODNESS Ka-Ka and Pops decided and helped out by taking the boys for the weekend and gave me some much needed rest.

I am so sorry

It has been forever since I updated.

Forgive me.

I have been overwhelmed quite a bit... with the pregnancy, moving, closing, Halloween coming up... it has been nuts.

So here is where we are....

I am 11 weeks 2 days pregnant and I go to the doctor today for a checkup. Nothing big going on there besides me.

For the past week, we have been gradually and slowly moving stuff in the house. My parents and brother are coming up this weekend to help us getting 100% moved in. I have been over there about 90% of the day everyday getting things scrubbed and put away and just ready...
the boys are loving the new house.
the boys have also decided they are sharing a room... which is nice because we can still have a nursery AND a guest room.
the boys have decided that their room is going to be decorated Batman.
I fully expect the boys to NOT sleep for the first week we are officially moved in.

OH.. and the grass that was just seeded, is growing something CRAZY.... it is nuts to see how much grass we have. Granted, they use Fescue Grass up here instead of Bermuda grass... so if anyone knows how to care for Fescue... let me know... I only know Bermuda.

OH.. and if I get too busy and can't update... Happy Halloween... I will try to put of pics of our Buzz and Woody.

House Update Week 12

I didn't update you on Week 11 because it was mostly the little stuff on the inside...

As of today, the yard is done, the landscaping is getting finished today and we are looking to close on the house in 2 weeks!!!!

Before that, we are gradually move stuff in... since we are going out of town this weekend, I won't get anything moved in this weekend, but I know Ka-Ka is off work for Fall Break coming up, so that week will be productive...

So excited... I will update with pics when I get out there.

OHHHH and we have an address and mailbox!!! so cool.

The builder just shook his head this morning when I was picking out bushes and stuff... the very front of our house is Blueberry and Raspberry bushes.. so I let him have by the garage to pick out what he thought would look good. Poor thing.. I am such a handful when it comes to "what I want"... and he is such a good sport.. he just laughs at me. lol

LOVE YOU ALL.

Another Random

-So tomorrow I am 7 weeks. I was worried because I was not sick or hungry or anything... well, except the fact my boobs felt like they were going to bust off my chest (totally weird.. my boobs have never hurt), but hunger hit me hard yesterday and getting sick hit me hard this morning... in fact, it woke me up... makes me feel more positive about everything... Still can't wait to get the ultrasound on Friday for my own reassurance.
You know...
Maybe that means this baby is a girl and she is going easy on me....

HAHAHA..

Please, anyone knows that any little girl born from CASEY HILL WHITEAKER is not going to be easy on anyone. Or...
Maybe she will have Ja's temperament. Wishful thinking all around.

-Ja's cousin is due the month before me and last Thursday they found out it was twins. I thought I was told they were fraternal, but I just saw the ultrasound and they totally don't look like fraternal to me. They look more Monochrionic Diamniotic identical or Dichrionic Diamniotic identical to me... but I am not a doctor. If I had to pick, it would be the Di-Di identicals because they are not in the Twin/Twin Transfusion Syndrome high risk group.

-You won't be seeing any Week 11 House updates this week... due to the monsoon that was here for 8 dadgum days, they weren't able to get much done. I will definitely have pics for you next week. All they did get done was the hardwood....

-I am going to see what pics Kaka and Pops have on their computer...

Weight

I sometimes glimpse this show during the day called "The Drs." Today they are discussing obesity in Americans and how we are absolutely oblivious to our own health and weight.

They used an example by walking down the street and asking people if they knew their weights and would subsequently weigh them and see the difference.
One lady's encounter:
Dr: Ma'am, do you know your own weight
Lady: Yes, it is 115lb
Dr: Do you mind stepping on these scales to verify?
Lady: Sure (as she is stepping on them)
Dr: Ma'am, you do not weight 115, you weigh 170 lbs.

This people, is what *I* call fooling yourself in dangerous proportions. Can people really convince themselves to that extreme?

If I haven't weighed in a while I might be off by 5-10 lbs, but I guarantee you, I have guessed higher.

WAKE UP PEOPLE.

Randoms...

Didn't you miss me doing these..

1) Kanye West is a douche.

I don't even like Taylor Swift... and I didn't think he could have ever topped the time with Mike Myers raising money for Katrina and busted out saying "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

2) Patrick Swayze is dead. :(
I guess even the sexiest men alive have to go at some time. I will have to break out Dirty Dancing as a tribute.

3) 6 Weeks today. I don't feel it at all. My doc visit Thursday will hopefully make me feel like this is real.

4) We have a final price on the house... it is set on the contract and we are locked into a 60 day USDA 100% Rural loan at exactly 5%... We won't have to put a penny down, and NO PRIMARY MORTGAGE INSURANCE.. NO PMI, NO PMI... shoooo.. that saves us about 200.00-250.00 a month on our mortgage bill. Crunching the numbers, it looks like our actual mortgage payment is going to be less than that of what we were living on in Lakeland... nice right. LOVE IT. Occupancy permit will be here soon people!!!!

I think I am done right now.. brain is pretty mushy right now. Love you all.

House Week 10

Wow.
They worked and did a lot of little stuff that added up to it looking like we are close to moving in.

Cabinets are in, vanity tops are in, all the light fixtures are in (on the inside and out), flood lights are up, bookshelf is done, utility sink is in, toilets are in, half bath is almost done, fireplace is done, and we even have keys!!!!
