Cluster F... F... Feeding.. that's what I meant.. Cluster Feeding

Corgan has the time during the day where NOTHING can satisfy him except for being held... it starts at around his 4:30pm feeding

*my that is close to supper time*

continues through his 7:30pm feeding

*that is suspiciously close to G and D's bedtime*

and doesn't end until after at 9:00pm and 10:00pm feeding.

*shoo.. exhausted just reading that*

Well, on Thursday night, he had an exceptionally needy night.... the boob was worn thin... and so were my nerves. 8:30pm left until he started pulling on it and getting fussy, then 9:45pm right until pulling and screaming , 10:30 left and immediately hit the TUGGING AND YANKING LIKE IT WAS A LEASH ATTACHED TO AN UNWILLING DOG!!!

For the love of God! Its a boob and it is attached!!!

Defrosted 2oz of milk and he took it down like a hitch hiker that has been lost in the desert for days... finally was sleepy enough for me to change his diaper and swaddle him and get him to sleep.

He has been doing this for about a week now, so it is kinda expected...

Thank you Lord for KaKa and Pops since they had G and D over for the night.. I didn't have to worry about waking up at 5am with D.

G and D made it home around lunch.

*Thank God KaKa brought Burger King home with the boys.. I finally got a meal I didn't have to remind myself to eat.*

From that point, G was an angel and fell asleep upstairs for a good part of 3 hours,.. D, God love him, demanded he wasn't tired and refused to fall asleep during 'rest time'...

D spent the rest of the afternoon.. being, well.. being D.

About 4:30pm came around and just like clockwork, Corgan started up his afternoon/evening routine... thankfully I finished feeding him by the time peanut butter and jelly's were asked for.. that made it easier...

about 7:00pm hit and Corgan was starting to get riled up... D and G can feel that night night time is close, so they are going bat crap crazy...

the doorbell ring...

the dogs are trying to get through the window and while I am trying to ca-rile them into the bedroom, G insist that "puppys want out", so he is trying to get the front door open to let them out and D is standing on the window sill giving me a play by play that "someone is at the door mom" and the commotion is apparently making Corgan hungrier by the minute... either that, or the literal crap got scared out of him... either way, he is screaming unhappiness in my ear as I open the door and hear...

"Do you have time to talk with me about Jesus"...

As I am standing there figuring out the proper response for that question at THAT particular moment...

G and D in unison responses with: "We can wipe our own butts... see..." *as they are attempting to prove they have tidy rearends*
I quickly, and before anymore incident, ca-rile THEM inside and shut the door behind them...

I turn to this young girl in her late teens/early twenties and try to respond, as the door quickly opens again and in an instant...

G says "I just farted".. and shut the door as quickly as he opened it...

"I am so sorry.. they are boys... and as you can prolly guess... Jesus and I have close communication these days."

as you can see... I am extremely verbose

Week 3, with 3 kiddos

Well, first... I will show you pictures. We had a friend up here, Chesley, take newborn pictures of Corgan... she has posted a sneak peak of the pics on her website... you can go HERE to view them and browse her website and see all the pictures she takes.
(he was a week old at the time)

The two big boys gave her fits.
She left here stressed... so go and give her some love.

So onto life with 3 kids...
its wonderful 90% of the time
its stressful 50% of the time
I have 3 screaming babies only about 20% of the time.
I am in need of a nap about 80% of the time.
I am in love 100% of the time.
And I am in "oh crap I need them to take a number and a 3rd arm" mode about 10% of the time....

Like when they all want food at the same time... of course, it has improved my multitasking abilities... breastfeeding while walking around pouring milk and fixing peanut butter and jelly... believe me.. it takes skill.

Kids have also learned that I can whoop a butt and still breastfeed at the same time too. haha.

Last night, for example, I had a hungry screaming baby in my arms, a screaming baby in bed because "my ding-a-ling hurts" (*that is what happens when you RUB IT RAW ALL DAY after a mosquito bites it because you run around naked all the time), and another crying because I didn't come to the raw ding-a-ling soon enough and "he was scared the strangers got me because I didn't come." And they all wanted satisfying AT THE SAME DADGUM TIME.

Painful.. in more ways than one...

But it is worth it.

Corgan is 2 weeks, G had his last day at school... and D, well, he got a milkshake

Yesterday was a busy day.
G had his last day of school... a half day, with a Pizza Party.

D wanted a pizza party...

Cor turned 2 weeks old and started making noises and goofy faces and me and the boys.

D wanted to carry him...

J went out of town for the first time since Cor has been here.

D wanted Daddy to play the farm game with him...

D got to go to McDonald's and have a milkshake with momma for breakfast after dropping off G and getting Cor to sleep.

He later dropped his pants and showed Mrs. Shelley proof that he was a boy when she came to visit Cor.

I adore that kid.

1st doc appointment

Corgan, who the boys have affectionately named "boo boo"....

I take blame for that.. that is what I sometimes call them.

So he is now, 6lbs, 9oz, 19.25 inches long. He has surpassed his birth weight... a goal the doc had put on him for 2 weeks and he is there.

Thank goodness him eating like he has is paying off, since he is totally sleeping 6 hours practically every night... he still manages to get 7 to 8 meals in.

His "tongue tied" clip is healing the way it should.
His ding-a-ling is doing great too.
His cord is still there, but very loose.

He is wonderful.

Corgan is a week old??! Dadgumit!

Can't believe it has been a week... It has flown by, but Corgan is proving to be a wonderful little man. Calm and content.. that is him... sleeping great and being so nice to momma. He only fusses when he is hungry and when he needs to poop.

I have fallen totally in love once again.

Corgan's birth story.. and ok.. some pics

May 5th, at 5:00 we checked in at Summit Medical Center. It was a nice and easy process... I had already preregistered so it was simple. I got my room and the 1st nurse checked me out...

"stretchy 3cm"

By the time she asked all her questions and got me worked in all the monitors and we talked about previous deliveries, she got me hooked up to the Pitocin by 6:00am. She decided it would be best to put me on a very low dosage. It just made the contractions more regular, not necessarily any stronger.

at 7:00 am when the new nurse got on duty, she checked me out...

Great, progress. It was pretty boring at this point. They told me the doc would be in between 8:00 and 8:30 to break my water.

At 8:30 he came in a checked me and broke my water.

"3cm. 70%. -2 station."
"but the nurse just said I was 4cm?"
"She must have checked you during a contraction because you are stretchy"

Great.. moving backwards.. but HEY MY WATER IS BROKE.
I immediately updated facebook and then braced myself for the contraction that is coming up, because hey, my cushion is gone.

Very manageable at first... then they gradually started getting worse. The nurse had me on my side to labor instead of my back.. thank goodness because my back always hurts when I am pregnant.

8:40... starting to breathe and starting to get more and more uncomfortable through the hips.

8:45... PRESSURE AND MY HIPS ARE CONSTANTLY ACHING... I hit the nurse call button... I NEED THE EPIDURAL PLEASE... "J, call your mom.. go ahead and get the kids up here!" Nurse checks me...

"OH SHIT" *sorry.. using exactly what happened*

New nurse immediately leaves the room to get other nurses to help and to help get the epidural in here quicker...

8:50... OH GOOD LORD MY BODY IS TAKING OVER... I hit the nurse call button again and squeaked out "I NEED TO PUSH". 4 nurses come rushing in and 1 is standing in the hall yelling "GET A DOC IN HERE NOW... I DON'T CARE WHO IT IS.. GET HER DOC UP HERE AND GET A DOC IN HERE NOW!" I am trying to hold on pushing as much as I can per nurses orders and the epidural guy walks in... looks... and walks right back out.

Nurses are rushing around, getting stirrups settled, getting baby stuff settled... lathering me up with iodine... The whole time I am breathing and moaning... and on the verge of breaking the side rails of the bed.

THANKFULLY... they left the bed intact and had not disassembled it yet...

9:04... I HAVE TO PUSH!!! and WHAM!!! All I saw from my point of view, was the nurse with her hands held up to the end of the bed like she was trying to keep something from rolling off.... J said he saw the kid actually bounce on the bed.

There was no "there's the head, now let's get the shoulders out"... he came out head to feet in one whole motion and shot out like I just skipped a rock over a pond.

I was in shock I guess.... I was just sitting there with my mouth wide open in a "Holy Crap" mode.

As J was cutting the cord, the doc came in.

"Told you I labor fast"
"I believed you"
"You missed it"
"I know... I guess all I get is the rest"

And there we have it.. quick and to the point.... And I included EVERYTHING.

6 lbs, 7 oz, 19 inches of pure contentment and calmness.
I couldn't be happier.

Tomorrow is the day

as of right now I have about 18 hours until I have to check in the hospital.

Scared.. yes
Excited.. yes
Worried.. yes
Happy.. yes

Me and J are so not getting any sleep and we are on pins and needles and just plain ready.

Pray that everything will go as planned and we don't have any major hiccups.

I will update here when I can... I will update facebook while in labor probably.

This Tag blanket only cost me about 99 cents

So the Goodwill down here has 99 cent days on t-shirts.

I took 1 t-shirt and a bunch of scraps of other t-shirts and made a Taggie or Tag Blanket for Corgan. A big majority of the tags are from the hems and collars of the scrap t-shirts I have used to make other clothes and the other tags are from some ribbon I had around the house.

So the only thing that cost me was the backing....

Front and back pics shown... I love it and it is soooooooo easy to make.
