A good tired

Well, what a busy few days we have had. Driving to Cookeville, visiting with all the family and friends there on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday... then to Nashvegas to visit friends and family there Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. and headed back to Memphis on Sunday.

SHOOOO. We are beat, but it is a good tired. It is always good for the boys to spend time with their great-great-grandmother, because really, who can say they did spend time with their 2nd great grandmother? She threw the ball with them and held them while she skimmed through pictures on the computer. She just loves seeing them. And she asked, like she does each and every time, "Can you just leave the little one [D] with me." Its hard when we leave, because she cries, but it is worth going to see her.

Every time we go to Cookeville, we try to figure out what we could do to make money and live there. We love it. It is a college town, but also where alot of people go to retire. It is small, quiet, and so much to do outside. But, we can never think of anything. So, it always falls to the waste side. meh.

The boys got a new trampoline from their Mammie (great grandmother). I will have to post pics when I get it up. Mammie always loads them up on toys and clothes.

Besides seeing Pops, Kaka, Uncle B, great grandparents and great great grandmother, the also got to visit with our buds. It was good to see Joe and Matt in Cookeville and visit Saturday night with Steph and Jay. I gotta figure out a way to live closer to Steph and Jay and still have all the comforts of my family close here in Memphis. meh

And get this.. with all this going on.. and with camera fully charged and taken.. I took NO pictures.. I suck.

Hugs to everyone..

I want this image OUT of my mind

So Tuesday morning, I go outside to let the dogs use the bathroom first thing in the morning and notice, the pool has a hole apparently because the pool is halfway empty. Oh well, we will just go and get another... one we can winterize. Works out all together.
After spending all of Tuesday night running around from Toys r us, Target, Walmart.. we finally get one.. but not after spending 1 1/2 hours in front of Target keeping a lady company while she was waiting for someone to come and get her keys out of her locked car... yea, it was a late night.

So yesterday rolls around and me and the boys head out to the backyard all day and to get the pool totally emptied and thrown away. Well, the pool was down to right below D's butt cheeks, so I let them get in and play around. The boys were having such a blast... it was low enough that they could sit but their heads be just over the water and they thought it was fun. I was right there, so nothing to worry about...

Then the look came into G's eyes...

Fear came into D's as he gazed at G...

G sprung and tackled D... AND COULDN'T GET UP.

It seemed in one motion I yanked G off and yanked D out of the pool, but in that motion I saw the look on my baby's face at the bottom of that pool... one of shear terror, mouth wide open, panic in his eyes.

In no way was my baby close to death's door. I know that, I was there, he was pulled out quick, all I had to do was to let him cough a minute and puke after I calmed him down enough. I didn't have to do CPR or anything.

But I don't know if I can erase that look he had on his face. Maybe that is what comes with being a mom. Who knows...

Good news though? He got right back in the water after he puked, so it apparently scared me more than him.

Friday, the 13th

You know, usually these days are uneventful for me... I say that.. about every 4 years they seem to be eventful, and my last eventful Friday the 13th was in August 2004.. four years later, we get last Friday..

It started out as a normal day.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. UNTIL we went inside for a bath before lunch.

2 naked babies very happy in the bath, 1 naked baby gets out to potty, 2nd naked baby not all too happy and tries to race out of the tub... feet go out from under him and WHAM!

"Mrs B, will you please come over and watch G, I need to take D to the doc for stitches."
'no problem, be right there'

hour later at the ER,
'Case, this is mom, Mrs B got worried about Mr B because she couldn't get a hold of him, I came over to relieve her of G.. Case, she found him on the kitchen seizing and she doesn't know how long he has been there. 911 is on their way.' *This was through sobs of complete fear.*

Sasha was none too fazed.

Just so you know. D is fine, they superglued him, it has come apart and the superglue has already come off.. (aka.. they should have stitched him), but it is too late for all that now. His chin is fine.. and you can't see it at all unless make him let you see.
Mr B is fine now, he blood sugar bottomed out and that is why he was seizing.. it bottomed out again at the hospital. They kept him over night, and now he is at home feeling better and on a new regimen. Hopefully that will include an insulin pump soon.

The goin's on 'round here

Let's see...

D and G totally are daddy's boys. There are small times when D will want me over J, and of course when they are sick or don't feel good, they want momma.. but fun, they are all over J. Oh well

G and D's new game is the strategically place couch cushions on the floor in front of the couch and say "do do fee, ump" [two two three, jump].. they haven't quite grasped the one. I have a feeling this new game will end up with a broken bone by years end.

My uncle C was just diagnosed with lung Cancer. I worry about him.

Sometimes I wish I had a private blog just for me so I could vent and vent and vent about crap.. but I would not have time to update it... it would be kinda worthless.. then someone would find it, want to read it, and when I would say no that would cause all kinds of drama.. so I just won't.

Can you believe that this was the boy who just came to me to tell me D was 'nasty'...

So exhausted

This was a busy weekend.. but still, a good one.

A friend of mine, Shelley, got married to great guy. He makes her so happy and is completely and totally nuts about her. When I get pics, I will have to post. The reception was everything I expected out of Shell.. just a big party where her and Jamie shut it down. I was able to see a lot of college buddies again and it was wonderful. Many from the softball team Shell and I both played. It was great to see them again.

We stayed at a hotel Saturday night while the boys spent all day Saturday and all morning Sunday with the Pops and Ka-ka. We ended up at a later service for church than our kids and I am sure some were pretty confused by that, but gotta be honest... not having that fight and actually being able to hear and pay attention to what the preacher said was nice.

Unfortunately, we were not able to leave Nashvegas until late and didn't get home until 10pm. But it was worth it. Had a great time.

**From the last post.. just so you people will know, I am NOT pregnant. No worries there. Don't worry about 'punching through the screen'. lol.

So tired

But why? Why am I feeling like I need so much sleep? I get at least 8 hours every night (with a little potty break.. which, I am totally not understanding, why all of a sudden do I need to pee in the middle of the night.), and I have just had a very relaxing vacation weekend. But it takes two babies tunneling through their doors every morning with wooden blocks and a husband jumping on the bed like a crazed Scientologist on Oprah to get me sleep walking through the house.
Once up and out of bed, it takes 2 cups of coffee and over an hour of time for me to get awake.. then once the boys take a nap, I feel like I need too. Geeze..
I know the boys aren't tiring me out.. I am eating a lot better food... I don't get it.

Help?? Advice, suggestions, ideas???

Thanks bunches, MWAH!

Reminiscent

I miss my guys.

Monday, June 2, 2008

Ahhh, Monday

I hope everyone's weekend was good and your week is starting out good.

How was Pickwick??

That pretty much sums it up. I was so relaxed all weekend. I am also debating putting us in debt to buy a cabin up there I found (friend of a friend) that is amazing and is going well below market value for cabin of its size.. and it is brand new and fully furnished..

but I digress.

Also, I loved a relaxing weekend, but I missed all my boys.

J and the boys were playing in the living room
G takes off.. J assumes he has gone in his room to play...
about 5 minutes later, a naked G comes in with the part of the potty that holds everything and shows it to daddy...
It is full of poop and he is ready to flush it.

D hasn't used a booster seat since Friday.

It is good to come home.
