WOW... 7 YEARS...

So we have been married for officially 7 years today... together for 11 years this month.

Holy crap that makes me feel a tad bit old.

So anyways...

it has been a very very fast 7 years.
it has been a very very productive 7 years.
it has been a very very busy 7 years.
it has been a very very anxiety filled 7 years.

it has been a very very wonderful 7 years. And I wouldn't ask for a moment less.

I love you babe.

House Week 8

We have a SHOWER!!!


And yeah, yeah, yeah.. the boys bathroom is floored...
and as you can glance, they have put on some primer on the walls getting it ready to paint.


As you can see they are just about done with the outside... they are done with the shutters and siding and we even have gutters now!!!

House Week 7

Well.
We had a few days of rain, so I expected the outside to be rather unchanged...
On the inside though... we got insulation and drywall!!! It is coming together...







And on the outside, we did indeed get some more siding, and some of our shutters!!





On our side of things, we finally got a hold of some hardwood and some tiles we love at a great price... back story, when we were fixing up the house in Memphis, we got a hold of a Surplus Warehouse and got a great hardwood and tile then... we were so happy. Since our contractor has been begging us to finally agree on a tile and hardwood, we have been stumped bad. No one here seems to carry the hardwood I love for a reasonable price and I wasn't about to give up on that... and we were visiting everywhere... salvage places, Lowe's, various other discount options.. we were kicking ourselves. We finally had the right mind to search into this place we had previously found and BOOM... there is one in Clarksville, TN... just a little over an hour drive.
So we have our tile and hardwood picked out and we are so happy!!!!

House Week 6

House Week 6:

So, they have done some work on the grading of the land...


They have installed the septic system...


and the HVAC ducts....


and the exterior doors, all windows, most of the siding...


And they have poured the concrete for the porches and laid the brick.


We are still trying to decide on floor and we have picked out interior paint colors...
Every week we are nipping at the bit to get out there and look at what is being done... Zack never disappoints.

Me and D time

Well, G woke up this morning and was not running a fever and eating again, so I came to my own conclusion that he was fine to go to school and have fun.

That said, me and D have been working on some me and D time. He loves to ride on the lawn mower when I mow and I have found that it seems to relax him quite a bit.. he just lays back and chills.

Today he chilled just a bit too much.







I couldn't bring myself to wake him... so after all the mowing was done, I continued to drive around for another 20 minutes until gas was running out. He woke like he hadn't skipped a beat. So sweet... it isn't everyday I get good sleepy baby lovin'... so I took advantage.

First day of Pre-school

Yep... G had his first day of pre-school today and he has been excited about it for weeks... he got new shoes, a new backpack, and new lunchbox, napmat, and pillow and blanket... We let him pick out everything and he did so good... he was up at 5am getting his shoes on and already picking out his clothes saying he was ready to go to school.

that was a tough 4 hour wait.

Especially since he was running a fever.

Yes, yes, the letter sent home clear states that said children are not to come to school unless their fever has been gone for at least 24 hours.

But it was only 100.5
And it was his first day

And there was no way in hell I was going to tell him he could not go to school after all the hype we had put on it.




And D, the poor thing, was just lost without him. Everytime we got in the car it was all "go-in get Gabin?"
I had to tell him no constantly....

Then I had to get him up from his nap to "go-in get Gabin."


Unfortunately, he will have to miss his 2nd day of school because his fever shot up to 101.6 and I took a look in his mouth after he won't drink his milk and yep... puss pockets... he has tonsillitis... I know it.. off to the doctor...

We will try again next week.

Week 5 house update

Week 5 has come to a close. It has been a busy week. Besides the physical appearance you might see on the house, we have done a lot of picking out of stuff for the house. We have chosen the brick, siding, outside trim, inside trim, outside doors, inside doors, cabinets, countertops, vanity tops, carpet, and all the lighting fixtures. Almost all the electrical has been installed and almost all the plumbing.

It is looking like a house people... we are so happy.
