Mary Louise Whiteaker

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Louise Whiteaker, 95, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and again Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whiteaker passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Masters Health Care Center in Algood.

She was born Feb. 29, 1916, in Putnam County to the late Jim and Amanda Bumbalough Emery.

Mrs. Whiteaker was a homemaker and attended Northeast Church of Christ.

The family would like to express a deep appreciation to the nurses and CNAs of Masters Health Care for the wonderful care for the time that she was there.

Her family includes a son and daughter-in-law, James Harold and Beth Whiteaker; a daughter, Frances Cobble; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Andrea Emery; grandchildren and their spouses, James and Katy Whiteaker, Jenny and DeWayne Phillips, John and Mechelle Williams, Lisa Cobble, Amy and Tim Morris, Amanda and Jeff Hatcher, Nancy Frye, and David and Phil Emery; great-grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Casey Whiteaker, Berek Whiteaker, Heather and Jared Phillips, Katie, Sarah and Jeremy Morris and Jonathan and Joshua Williams; and great-great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gavin and Corgan Whiteaker and Mason Morris.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Whiteaker was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Whiteaker; and a grandson, Jerry Whiteaker; and two great-great granddaughters, Mercy and Grace Whiteaker.

Pallbearers will be Tim Morris, Jeff Hatcher, Jason and Berek Whiteaker, John Williams and Jared Phillips.

Bro. Paul Wilmoth will officiate the services.

I'm sorry for your family's loss! I am AMAZED that your husband had a great-grandmother and your kids had a great-great!!! WOW! I got chills when I read Mercy and Grace's names, and now writing this, I'm choking up. What an amazing meeting that must have been in heaven!
